Stephen Betts

Tax Partner

Stephen graduated from Keele University with his degree in Law and International Politics before he went to the College of Law Chester. He then trained in the Island of Jersey before qualifying into DLA Piper where he joined their corporate tax department. As well as qualified solicitor, Stephen is also a Chartered Tax Adviser.

Stephen advises on a broad range of tax matters, with a particular emphasis on corporate tax including matters such as M&A and private equity transactions, business restructurings, joint ventures, share schemes (particularly EMI). Stephen’s experience in business enables him to bring a commercial approach to his advice, which many clients have said they find appealing.
